The Garden of the Light
7th step on the Essene path: The Garden of Silence, or preparation for the end of life, is possibly the most important step for an Essene. The Essene takes the time to withdraw from the influences of society in order to find themselves again with what is most divine within them: their soul. It is the great preparation so that the soul may find its path again after the death of the physical body.
The 7th step is the last step that man must take on the earth. It is called the Garden of Light because it is the path that leads us toward the Light, toward our true homeland, that is to say, toward our Father.
This path that leads us toward the Light is within us; it is a return to our inner nature, and for this we must truly live with living Nature—with the trees, the water, the sun and the vegetables we cultivate. It is a return to the sources, to rediscover this animist side.
This Garden of Light is also called the Garden of Silence. It is by entering into silence that we can recover our senses in order to perceive what is living within us, through our subtle bodies (our thoughts, our feelings and our desires).
“The Garden of Light is a place of silence, of peace, of recollection, of prayer, of dialogue with the Father-Mother, which remains inaccessible to agitation and sterile noise. It is a space reserved for subtle, gentle, sacred beings, for good spirits and, ultimately, for all beings who love God and want to live with Him in reality.”
From the book The Garden of Light, p. 168
This Garden of Light is also called the Garden of Silence. It is by entering into silence that we can recover our senses in order to perceive what is living within us, through our subtle bodies (our thoughts, our feelings and our desires).
“Silence is the only way for man to hear the subtle world, to receive its nourishment and to be activated by God. What man has thus received, he can give back in his creative activity as an offering.”
Uriel, Psalm 20, verse 15
And it is only by moving away from the influences of the outer world, by stopping the whirlwind of your life, that you will be able to accomplish this work. It is a work on oneself, to learn to know oneself, to understand what we are, where we come from and where we are returning. This is the true study: the observation of oneself, of the life within us and around us.

We are born, we die and we are reborn constantly, for our life on earth is a transformation and we are in a state of continual renewal. If we have come onto the earth, it is in order to work on ourselves so as to free and heal what is not luminous within us. This is the work of an entire life, and sometimes even of several lives. In reality, our work consists in making God appear, and in order for Him to appear, we must build a body for Him within us. We will take on a body again and again until this word of Jesus is accomplished: “Be perfect as the Father is perfect.”
“What you live on the earth is what you have not understood. You will find it again in eternity, in the immensity, when you no longer have the limits of the body. That will be your becoming when you are obliged to take on a body again.” Michael 85:10

We have come onto the earth by taking a body, but that was only the beginning. The beginning of what? The beginning of the creation of another body. With the body we have received, our work consists in bringing forth another body—a Body of Light and of immortality—and this is the work of the 7th step.
If you believe that there is another life (reincarnation) after that of your physical body, then it is essential that you prepare your journey into the beyond.
Prepare your death while being alive. — Gabriel
“Do not believe that your life on earth is nothing.
The earth is a preparation for eternity.”
— Michael, Psalm 85, verse 8

Thus, on the 7th day, God rests, for we are the Body of God and we must make Him appear by manifesting virtues such as love, generosity, tolerance, joy, etc., so that He may come to dwell in His creation. And His creation is us, for in the beginning we were created in perfection.
“God created only the virtues.”
— Michael, Psalm 85, verse 21
“Life for man is very concrete, and he has little time to build for himself a body that he will carry with him into other worlds after physical death.”
— Uriel, Psalm 53, verse 19
Our Father is that which is hidden, the invisible, God.
Our Mother is the visible, living Nature, and it is through Nature that She shows us our Father, because God our Father is Life, the creator of Life, and the Garden of Light is filled with His presence.
It is by entering into this Garden that we can once again learn to speak with God and to hear His word through all the manifestations of life: all creatures, animals, trees, flowers.
That is why, in order to be able to take this 7th step, we must pass through our Mother, Nature, because it is in Nature that the life which does not die is found.
Even when the body of man dies, Life itself remains eternally, for Life does not die.
